This circa 1880 Caucasian Kazak Oriental Rug #7997 measures 4’1” x 7’6”. It has four panels with a Memling gul in the center of each of the panels. Each is different. The background of each panel has a different motif also. The inner border is a reciprocal of the outer border. The inner border has a pale green ground. The outer border has a medium blue ground. The major border has Memling guls in blue, coral, pale green, and tomato red on an ivory ground which is very asymmetric. The rug has a minimum border solution. It’s a very lovely composition. a fantastic 1880’s Kazak that will star in any collection. The rug is full pile. It has complete ends and sides. It is clean and ready to go.
