Antique Baluch saddle bag face with 'bird' design.
www.knightsantiques.co.uk
Circa 1900.
Size: 1ft 11in x 2ft 0in (59 x 60cm).
The saddle bag is of well known 'bird' design, often these are considered to be cockerels; this example has the added interest of a single white bird. The bag face has superb soft glossy wool and a very floppy handle. The bag face retains the original lower end finishes with very fine detailed weft work decoration, the top retains the original closing lappets.
The saddle bag face is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and good pile.
The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display.
