Antique South West Persian Kashkuli Qashqai rug with repeat medallion design.

Size: 7ft 3in x 5ft 3in (222 x 160cm).
A very attractive rug by the Kashkuli sub tribe of the Qashqai. The rug has a dark indigo field repeat medallion design of the the Qashqai emblem. The corners of the rug are ivory ground filled with finely drawn floral boteh. The inner and outer guards are fine small boteh on a indigo blue ground, the main border is a very good example of the classic serrated leaf design.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and full pile. There are no repairs and the rug retains its original end finishes.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
A superb collectible display item.
