This circa 1890 Quashki measures 5’9” x 14’7”. It has a cane design of ivory and dark blue stripes with an ‘s’ motif. There are four medallions in ivory, blue and red running up the center. The corners are a combination floral and geometric design on a tobacco colored background. All is encompassed with a geometric border in tomato red and ivory on a blue ground encompassed with a reciprocal border of meandering vine and flowers on a tobacco ground. The interior border has triangles going into the field with different geometric shapes such as triangles, octagons and what looks like a couple of boats. The rug is very slightly low in the two camelhair motifs at the top of the rug in the corners otherwise the rug is essentially in perfect condition. It is full pile. It has complete ends and sides. It is clean and ready to go.
