Antique Caucasian Kuba rug from the village of Karagashli which is just north of Perepedil.

Size: 5ft 11in x 3ft 7in (180 x 110cm).
The rug is a very well-drawn example of this classic Caucasian design. The indigo blue field with two rows of three box palmettes, dragons, snow flakes or star like flowers, and a row of four animals at the top. The border design is the leaf and calyx design which is typical for rugs from this region, it is enhanced by the soft yellow butterscotch colour.
The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and good pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
