7 x 14 ft 19th Century Antique Ghashghaei / Qashqai Rug
It was a challenge to photograph this carpet because of its size and all of the details. The photos were taken at different times of the day.
Gorgeous carpet having an all over design featuring detailed boteh in columns and rows.
The dark navy blue background is perfectly complemented by a 7 layer border of traditional tribal motifs.
Colors of shades of blues, camel and copper browns, reds, ivory and green accents
This Antique Persian Rug was handwoven in the second half of the 19th century
Actual Measurements are 7.2 x 14.6 FT
This rare piece is extraordinarily large for an antique Qashqai
Condition: There are no holes or tears but some wear can be seen. You can see where the weaver used different shades of blue in the background. It’s not fading.
