Back
Unusually large sized, collectable 19th century Baluch rug with grand scale. Not quite main carpet sized, but larger than usual for the type. This is an excellent old example, complete and with excellent provenance (provided upon request). All colors are natural and beautiful. Images here don't really capture the colors. The main image was shot in full sun. The image on a dark ground shot inside in artificial light. i know there are a lot of very good Baluch pieces on the market these days, but this one holds up as a top example maybe even best of type? At any rate, it is quite impressive in person partly because of its size and scale and also for its coloration. It is in very good condition without repairs. Recently acquired from a London collection. Size: 45 x 78 inches.
