Tibetan Gyatsen, i.e. 'tubular' religious ornamentation's that are often hung from the ceiling on either side of a Tibetan altar, or on either side of a seated high lama. Made of old silk brocade with a dark-indigo blue dyed plain silk cloth top overlayed with scattered small silk squares. Size is 77cm / 30in long (87cm / 34in inc ‘fringes’) and has a diameter of 22cm / 9in at the top. An interesting old piece from circa 1900 / early 1900's with good provenance and of a kind not often seen on the market today.
