Tibetan khaden with a center field design made up of roundels and half roundels that is generally associated as mimicking Chinese silk brocade. It is quite heavily abashed throughout the main field, with a brighter ‘lipstick’ red for the roundels and the interlocking yungdrung (swastika) border. It was made circa 1900 / early 1900’s, the size is 169cm x 90cm (approximately 66.5in x 35in), the dyes are natural and the warp, weft and pile are all hand-spun wool. it is a striking piece in quite good condition overall.
