Impressive six square runner made in the Ningxia region of China featuring two dancing cranes in a roundel on an apricot coloured background, enclosed by an interlocking swastika border, was made in the mid 19th century / 1800's, possibly for use in a Buddhist monastery. The size is 429cm x 76cm (approximately 169in x 30in), the dyes are rich and from natural sources, it has cotton warp and weft, and is backed by blue cotton cloth. It is in excellent condition with no stains, colour runs or repairs. a collectors item.
