Second Half 19th Century Azeri Sofreh Woven in a single panel, this kilim cover is executed in just two colours. The empty red field and the equally undecorated green vertical borders are interlocked by means of sharp points – a typical design principle of Azeri textiles of this kind. The cover probably served as a sofreh. Very good condition. The braided red and green warps are preserved at both ends.
