#7383 Tabriz antique Persian rug 'Hunt Scene' This circa 1910 Tabriz measures 4’2” x 6’3” (128 x 192 cm). It has a hunting scene on a tomato red ground completely filled with Persian hunters on different colored horses hunting antelope, deer, goats, lions, rabbits, elans and kudus with various implements of destruction including swords, knives, bows and arrows, and spears. All is encompassed with a medium blue border containing cartouches filled with Farsi script which i suppose is probably a poem. The rug has full pile. The ends and sides are complete.
