This circa 1880 Khotan antique Oriental Rug #6723 measures 5 ‘ 9” x 9’ 0 “. This fantastic carpet has a bittersweet field with two medallions which are drawn in a three stage 3- d effect. The outer portion of the medallion is in pale aubergine with a very pale green flower head motif. The next stage, proceeding inward, repeats the field color of bittersweet with ivory flower heads. Proceeding inwards is an elongated circle with a modified wave motif. This is a very interesting combination which i have never seen before. This rug is in essentially mint condition with full pile. The ends and sides are complete. This rug is clean and ready to go.
