Antique Kuba Konagkend rug, third quarter 19th century, Southern Mountainous Kuba Region, North East Azerbaijan This rug has an overall arebesque lattice based on hexagonal forms. The arabesque pattern with strong ‘Kufic’ border is possibly a descendant of the ‘early lotto’ Turkish rugs from the 15th century. It is in “superb” condition.
