This circa 1880 Shirvan/Kuba #7995 measures 4’7” x 6’4”. It has three tomato red Saint Andrews crosses on an indigo ground. The ground is covered in quartered octagons in ivory, tobacco, two shades of blue and red. It has a very interesting motif. The vertical interior edges of the field have arrow motif in the same colors. The major border is Kufic in ivory on a brown ground. The interior minor border is camel colored with one offset place and a few asymmetric designs which are very small. There is a trefoil outer border done in blue and nice reciprocal borders on either side of the major border. The ends and sides are complete except for one row of knots about 2” long at the top dog tooth border. This i can have fixed if it irritates you. The ends and sides are complete. This rug is 99% full pile perfect condition and incredibly finely woven. The only part that could be considered not full pile is due to age erosion. It is clean and ready to go.
