This third quarter 19th century Kazak Oriental Rug #8149 measures 4’1” x 6’9”. It has 3 ½ diamond shaped medallions running up the field surrounded with latchhook borders in ivory. The center motif flows inward from the ivory borders becoming latchhook red, latchhook blue, latchhook yellow/gold or latchhook red, latchhook green or latchhook ivory. The other two are also different colors. Study it. Have some fun. These meld into the same type of center medallion cut in half in the interior length of the center. There are 4 reciprocal barber pole borders in ivory, red and yellow encompassing an ivory ground with an interesting unique design shaped like triangles connected to squares. They are not symmetrical but live in harmony. There are two other reciprocal borders on a blue ground with ivory and brown diamonds. The rug is full pile. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go.
