Antique Chodor Turkmen rug or main carpet of small size with the traditional Ertmen gul design.
Circa 1880.
The rug features diagonal rows of Ertmen guls in ivory and red / brown, within a lattice on a aubergine / brown field. The rug retains the original long kilim end finishes at both ends. The rug is woven on a undyed brown goats hair warp.
The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium / low pile, there are a few scattered old repairs and some corrosion to the dyes.
The rug is suitable for light domestic use.
