This third quarter 19th century Kazak Oriental rug #8200 measures 3‘3“ by 5‘11“. It has a rectangular center field in red, which is filled with asymmetric motifs of different shapes, sizes and colors. Three of them look like spiders in dark blue and dark green and squares split into triangles. There are stop signs split into corners and lazy ‘s’ designs. This is surrounded by a narrow ivory border with lazy ‘s’ motif all on a complicated blue and dark brown, long and narrow field. The browns are down, but the blue is not. These face each other for a strange two dimensional design. This is encompassed with a beautiful red narrow border of lazy ‘s’ design, all encompassed by a large ivory main border containing designs in red and blue that are unique to me. I’ve never seen anything like this! There’s a minor border in green and blue with triangular designs separated by two minor borders. The rug shows slight wear as photographed. The ends and sides are complete. The rug is clean and ready to go. https://antiqueorientalrugs.com/product/antique-caucasian-kazak-oriental...
