This late 19th century Anatolian rug #8204 measures 4‘5“ by 9‘8“. It is from the Konya area. There are three diamond shaped medallions up the center filled with multicolored latchhook designs in ivory, brown, peach, blue and red. The center of the field is the same motif as in the diamonds down the center only in six halves. The wide major border has a design of various motifs in blue, red and brown on a dark peach ground. The borders at the end are very asymmetrical. The designs do not match, whereas the borders on the length of the rug are symmetric and carry-on the same colors as in the field. The rug has good pile, although 5% has slightly low pile, especially in the border. The ends and sides are complete. The rug is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $95.00.
