This circa 1900 Peking Chinese Oriental Rug measures 9‘3“ x 12‘0“. It has a medium blue field surrounded by a dark blue border. The motif and the field contain eight circles with butterflies, flowers, and faux snowflake designs. The center medallion consists of flowerheads in two shades of blue and ivory in a wreath motif. The center of the medallion contains a goldfish. The minor border is a wide ivory border with a smaller border of terra-cotta with floral motifs containing six round images with butterflies and other images in ivory and blue. The corners contain multicolored urns, exploding with bouquets of flowers. The rug is in 98% perfect condition. There is one area photographed in the upper left-hand corner of the center medallion which is low. The end sides are complete. The rug is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $150.00.
