From the Baotou-Suiyuan / Inner Mongolian region of China, this carpet has an un-dyed brown camel hair coloured main field which the floral emblems and central medallion appear to float in. Made circa 1920’s / 1930 the size is 133cm x 67cm (52in x 26.5in), it has cotton warp and weft and the dyes appear natural. Other than benefiting from being professionally washed / cleaned, it is in good condition.
