So-called Kashgar kilim. Little is known about these kilims, which were woven by Turkomen weavers purportedly living in the Silk Road oasis town of Kashgar, or its environs, in what was once known as East Turkestan. They are renowned for their tight fine woolen weave and their attractive design of which this is an excellent example. Made circa 1900, the size is 216cm x 119cm (85in x 47in). Overall it is very good condition. For more photos and information please see https://warpandweft.club/portfolio-item/kashgar-item-6/
