Small carpet from the Baotou region of China that, given the tigma (cross) design in the striped central field, was probably intended for Tibet. Outer border of interlocking swastikas with over-layed flowers and an inner border of interlaced brown and blue ruyi motifs. Made in the early 1900’s, it has cotton warp and weft and the size is 104cm x 54cm (approximately 41in x 21in). There are several old repairs throughout. More photos available on request.
