Middle of 19th Century North East Persia, Baluch Rug In this Baluch rug of the head and shoulders type, the border is recessed at right angles in the upper section of the field, surrounding the box-shaped arch. The camel field shows a tree of life with a sturdy trunk which is decorated with arrowheads and flanked by star-shaped blossoms; large lyre-shaped designs adorn the sides.
