This circa 1925 Art Deco Chinese Oriental rug #8213 measures 9‘ 0“ by 11‘6“. This is a beautifully designed deco. The red field has a floral border consisting of orchids at every corner and six pointed three tone orange flowers in a garland spaced with a floral motif and purple And lavender connected by a vine of green leaves and pale brown branches. From the top right corner hang four different lamp turns from a brown rope along with five purple ornaments. At the bottom left corner is a gigantic floral motif, seeming the spring to life out of a rock in two colors of brown. This gigantic floral decoration comes into the center of the carpet covering 100% of the left corner of the entire rug. The flowers are two colors of blue, three colors of purple, yellow, green, yellow, orange, and two colors of pale pink. There are three colors of green leaves And several flowers in 2 to 3 colors of brown. This rug is essentially full pile. There are about one dozen white knots showing in the field.
