Limited edition Tibetan carpet book entitled “Auspicious Carpets. Tibetan Rugs And Textiles”. Contains twelve chapters by some of the pioneers in the early Kathmandu / Tibetan antique carpet scene as Thomas Guta (aka Thombol), Ted Worcester (aka Big Ted / Red Ted), Rupert Smith, Bob van Grevenbroek (aka Dutch Bob), Charles Gay and Daniel Miller. The various chapters include detailed explanations on many diverse subjects and intricate characteristics related to antique Tibetan carpets written by experts in the field, several of whom have passed on since the publication of this book. First edition copy published in 2009, hard cover with dust jacket, it contains 147 pages with 94 colour plates, 22 colour photographs and 23 black and white photographs and is in ‘as new’ condition.
