This circa 1850-1875 Kuba Bidjov runner #7909 measures 3’8” x 10’8”. It has a dark brown field containing the very rare and very well-known Bidjov design in tobacco, ivory, light blue, maroon, Khotan pink and butter yellow with the design running up the center as in all Bidjovs. a modified meandering vine and flower runs along the inner border. The next border has pale rose colored flowers on a darker rose ground. An interesting little touch in the flowers is that some of the centers of the flowers are in ivory and some are in blue or black. The outer main border is a running dog motif in ivory, blue and touches of red. The rug is basically full pile or if you are really touchy it could be considered evenly low. After all, it is a brown ground rug. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go.
