a stunning mid-19th century Antique Uzbek Bukhara Suzani, showcasing exceptionally fine silk embroidery on a linen Karbos ground. This large-scale masterpiece features chain-stitched and basma/flat stitch techniques. The vibrant field design displays tulip motifs in orange and red within a lattice pattern, complemented by flowing green shrubs with golden silk highlights and indigo day flowers. The field is framed by intricate borders, which features flamboyant floral motifs, including large disc-shaped designs rendered with exquisite detail, creating a captivating visual spectacle. Rich natural dyes amplify its beauty. Considering its age, the Suzani is in fair shape, with the once partially distressed ground professionally restored and conserved. Backed with fabric for added stability . Some embroidery abrasions are present, mostly in a few flowers on the borders but do not detract from the overall elegance. a great piece worthy of any collection. Size: Email me your questions.
