a large exhibition catalog on mostly 18th and 19th century embroideries (mostly napkins and bath towels) on the occasion of the icoc vii 1993 in Berlin/Hamburg, written by a collector. The items are drawn from various private collections from Germany and show domestic products for own use on special festive occasions like birth, wedding or funeral. Some additional plates on details. Many plates show only (small) parts of the textile. 29 pages introduction on types, use, materials, techniques, colors, style, motifs, dating, attribution, collections.
