Complete Shahsavan sumac mafrash. --- 37 inches long, 20 inches wide, and 16 inches high (94 cm x 51 cm x 41 cm). Colors are all natural and stable. Pictures should show condition---some wear at the bottom corners and loose sections or notches in the top edge, small holes in the striped bottom panel, and one hole in a sumac end panel. The four sumac faces are in generally good condition, with no substantial wear of the sumac. The seams at the sides and bottom of each end panel are bound with a herring-bone stitch in several colors--- some of this binding is fraying or gone. Some of the stout loops of spun and plied horsehair or goat hair are still attached to the edges of the top opening. I’ve seen several separate side or end panels with this “bird” or “tree” design, but this is the only intact mafrash I’ve seen. Contact directly at rjemry@gmail.com
