Antique Kurd bag (half khorjin), complete with flatweave back, but side seams open Probably from northwestern Persia, late 19th c. Face is 23 inches (59 cm) wide and 22 inches (56 cm) high. Pile face in good condition except for some spots with moth nibbles and traces, mostly in the left borders (See last image). Closure panels are in solid colors, plain kilim-weave, and are in good condition, the top edge finished with warps plaited into a flat tape.. a little wear at upper left corner. Closure loops in blue and red braided wool, some complete, some broken. Plain-weave back with broad stripes of color, with some stains and wear. Direct contact at rjemry@gmail.com
