Tibetan over-saddle carpet (masho) featuring two playful-looking snow lions chasing a central flaming jewel in an orange center field. The outer border consist of dragons and phoenixes on somewhat more redish background while the inner border is the simple t meander. Size is 67cm x 56cms (approx. 26in x 22in), the warp is cotton while the weft is wool. All natural dyes, the primary colours of which suggest ecclesiastical use.
