a brilliant antique gold appliqué and silver Turkoman / Turkmen Yomut / Yomud tribe bridal jewellery for hair cover. Dating to the late 19th century / early 1900’s, this bridal jewellery was part of the bridal outfit and worn over the bride’s hair to bring protection and prosperity for her future of her family. They were often very cherished jewellery items and thus very rare to find. This particular example is exceptional. It is made of gold and silver with glass inlay (an indication of earlier examples). The design is very archaic with triple heart motifs in the bottom, two rows of rams horn motifs in the middle and top, and all of these sections connected with circular ornaments with silver chain. As good as any published examples and unlike many later replicas flooding the market. a real gem worthy of good collections. In a very good condition. Offered at a reasonable price. Size: 41cm x 10cm (16”” x 4””) For inquiries please email directly to: istalificollections@outlook.com.
