Tibetan takyeb (pack animal forehead ‘decoration’) with a geometric design and the green stems of several flowers interwoven lattice-like though it. Hand spun wool warp and weft and tightly woven (estimated +/- 100kpsi / 1550kpsd). Rich saturated dyes, the green especially attractive, and woven sometime circa 1920. Size is 24cm high x 24.5cm wide (approx. 9.5in x 9,75in). Excellent condition.
