This circa 1900 Peking Chinese handmade wool Oriental Rug #8170 measures 9’0” x 11’8”. It has a dark blue field with a floral center medallion surrounded by six flower sprays in ivory, two shades of blue and brown. The corners are floral motif in the aforementioned colors. The inner border has five petal flowers on a light blue ground. The major border has a meandering leaf and vine design on an ivory ground. It has 99% full pile and is in essentially perfect condition for a rug of its age. The ends and sides are complete.
