Size: 3ft 11in x 1ft 7in (120 x 48cm).
Antique Tekke Turkmen 6 gul Torba with superb colour, this example is of the classic format for this design, similar to examples that are published in most Turkmen books. The drawing of both the major and minor guls is of an early form with a very open and spacious feel, the main guls are of a very large size. Note the double horned animal heads inside the main guls and the complete 'bow and arrow' to the minor gul; all signs of an early date.
Circa 1825 or earlier.
The weave is very fine and the torba has a velvet handle.
The torba is in original condition with very even wear and medium pile.
Stock Number: H-520.
