Back
Massive Timuri Baluch carpet, the panelled field with geometric medallions and designs, enclosed by a shaded geometric border with wide flat-weave ends. Pure wool. Finely woven. Age: circa 1900, or before. Size: 388cm x 238cm. Condition: oxidised browns (typical of this type), side cords repaired in places, minor moth damage in one or two tiny areas, two worn kinks. Great abrashed sky blue. Wonderful details in both the field and the wide border, similar to Turkmen designs. In useable condition, could do with a professional clean. New acquisition (it was too large to fit on my studio floor!) For more info/pictures/shipping details please send email: dom@dominicorr.com
