The black knots are oxidized, the warp and the weft threads are 100% wool, the knots are hand spun lamb wool, minor places the oxidized black knots are used beside all the pile is uniformly short, soft as an handkerchief.
a similar example was published at the catalog of "das grosse orientteppich buch" by von Josef Günther Lettemair on page 152.
