An exceptional antique Turkoman / Turkmen Tent band fragment from Yomud / Yomut tribe. An early and coveted example dating to around mid 19th century. The quality of the weaving is very fine with lush wool pile. Magnificent colours all derived of natural dyes. Great design with intricately executed motifs. It is good size fragment of a larger tent band with enough design to make it easy to display. The condition is pretty good for a fragment in near mint condition with one old repair hardly noticeable.
