Size: 3ft 5in x 1ft 5in (113 x 42cm).
Antique Tekke Turkmen 15 gul Torba with outstanding colour, this example is of the classic format for this design, similar to examples that are published in most Turkmen books.
Circa 1850.
The torba is beautifully drawn with large spacious guls, the weave is very fine with excellent soft wool.
The torba has been cut through the middle removing most of the central guls and then re-joined as can be clearly seen in the images. The surface has very slight wear and almost full pile. The price reflects the damage and the torba is offered at a fraction of the price of a complete item.
