Size: 2ft 6in x 1ft 11in (76 x 58cm). Antique saddle bag face by the Afshar tribe with large boteh design. Circa 1880. The bag face has three rows of large floral boteh on a dark indigo blue ground, the ivory ground floral border contrasts well with the darker field. Note the traditional Afshar brocaded closing lappets at the top. The bag face is in good condition with even wear and medium / low pile, there are some historic losses to the lower corners.
