Antique Tekke Turkmen 6 gul Torba with superb colour, this example is of the classic format for this design, similar to examples that are published in most Turkmen books. The drawing of both the major and minor guls is of an early form with a open and spacious feel, the main guls are of a good size. 1st half 19th century. The weave is very fine and the torba has a velvet handle, the lower end retains the original tassels but the plain weave back has been removed at some time in its life. The torba is in original condition with very slight even wear and good almost full pile.
