Antique Tekke Turkmen 6 gul Torba with superb colour, this example is of the classic format for this design, similar to examples that are published in most Turkmen books. The drawing of both the major and minor guls is of an early form with a open and spacious feel, the main guls are of a good size, note that the minor gul has a complete 'bow and arrow' at the sides. 1st half 19th century. The weave is very fine and the torba has a velvet handle, the lower end retains the remains of original tassels. The plain weave back is complete with some slight staining. There are old brass hanging loops attached to the reverse top. The torba is in outstanding original condition with very slight even wear and good almost full pile.
