Kurd bag face, Late 19th c., 25" x 25" I've owned this bag face for almost 20 years as it has a presence not captured in a photo. Although it tends to read dark, there is a character to it not seen any many Kurdish bags. The square format is framed with well drawn borders which complement the un-cluttered field. Ivory motifs appear in each of the 4 corners possibly suggesting human forms. This bag face will not disappoint regardless how many times it is viewed and handled.
