Antique Turkish village prayer rug. Attractive design with some unusual elements. Is that a human or animal figure above the mihrab? Pretty harmonious palette with a very pale green, possibly sulphonic but i don’t see the strong blue back i associate with that dye. Good condition for the age. i see one small palm sized poorly repiled spot. ca. 1880 or earlier. Reasonably clean. 39” x 57”
