This grand-scale antique Oushak rug from Western Turkey showcases the effortless elegance and luminous color palette for which Oushaks are celebrated. The spacious field features a striking medallion rendered in shades of soft coral, muted apricot, and pale sky blue, all framed by a delicately patterned border in tones of ivory, gold, and faded rose. The composition is relaxed yet balanced, with large-scale floral and geometric motifs gracefully floating across the open field.
Handwoven circa 1900 with lustrous wool and an airy weave, this piece embodies the refined yet informal character that makes antique Oushak rugs so desirable in contemporary interiors. Its warm palette and gentle patina create a sense of history, comfort, and timeless sophistication.
