An impressive antique oversize Heriz rug with a beautifully balanced all-over design. Highly decorative, harmonious in color and full of character.
This remarkable piece came out of an old German mansion, where it remained in the same family collection for over 100 years, quietly witnessing history and even surviving both World Wars.
The rug features a magnificent large-scale pattern with elegant geometry, deep natural dyes and the distinctive artistic rhythm that defines the finest Heriz rugs.
Its generous overall design and warm palette make it an outstanding decorative carpet for a sophisticated interior.
• Origin: Heriz, Northwest Persia
• Age: circa 1890 - 1900
• Size: approx. 600 × 430 cm (19.7 by 14.1 ft)
• Condition: Good for its age, some wear consistent with use and age
