Tibetan khaden with a central mandala-like motif and leaves spread sparingly throughout a subtly abrashed marled-green main field. The main border is the interlocking t design highlighted with flowers at the cardinal points and the outer red border is pile, not the red cloth covered felt seen on many Tibetan carpets. Made in the early 1900’s, the size is 164cm x 80cm (approx. 64.5in x 31.5in) and both the warp and weft are wool. It is in good condition with full pile.
