It has an archaic design consisting of repeating ornamental motifs in white against a strong indigo and light blue outlines. Shades of red and yellow seep through from possibly the weft. The end result creates a mesmerising visual effect. All the dyes are natural. Made for a wealthy woman and tailored in munisak shape with designed cut outs at the edge of the sleeves for the thumbs to slip through. It has a beautiful spotted cotton lining with the wide edging finished with with a gorgeous printed cotton repeating double boteh motifs.
