Antique East Caucasian Dagestan rug with Lesghi star design, 3'4 x 4'8. Low even pile with some areas a wear and corrosion of black in the central star and adjacent borders. Natural dyes, lovely greens and blues, much of the original selvedge intact. Tan wool wefting and warps. Kilim skirt and original knotted fringe finish preserved on one end, with partial loss of guard and minor borders at other end, with slit and small holes, but also some original kilim and knotted fringe preserved. Chenille suspension loops added on one long side. Soft, floppy handle. Price 495 plus shipping. Please contact directly at jan77burn@yahoo.com
